Construction
Conductor: Plain circular stranded compacted aluminium conductor
Conductor screen: Extruded semiconductive compound
Insulation: Extruded cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) rated 90°C
Insulation screen: Extruded semi-conductive strippable type compound.
Metallic screen: Two layers of plain annealed copper tape of nominal thickness 0.1mm applied helically over the insulation screen.
Separator: A layer of non-hygroscopic tape is applied over the metallic screen
Outer sheath: Extruded black UV resistant PVC compound
Messenger: Stranded round galvanized steel wires
Assembly: The three single cores are stranded with a long lay around the messenger
